So the inverted crucifix (which is a signature of Satanism) at the top of the staff as well as the inverted crucifix depicted on the "pope" 's mitre DOESN'T bother you in any shape or form as an individual who professes to be a Roman Catholic (i.e. yourself)?

How can that be?

"something like this does not worry me, is a joke" ... but as a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the Roman Catholic Church, aren't you entrusted to defend it? Wouldn't Jesus ask you to defend His honour if He were being mocked, or would you rationalized it as "a joke" and turn a blind eye to it, figuring that "this does not worry me" and pretty much figuring that it is best left to someone else to deal with it?

If that is the case, then I seriously think that you need to reevaluate your understanding of the tenets / Rules of Faith by which we, as Roman Catholics, are held to uphold. If you choose to be "lukewarm" on this, then so be it.

But once again, I cannot see how you wouldn't take offense to this even when the artist, in his commentary just beneath the image, wrote:

"comes with not only his own holy hat and one, but TWO upside down crucifixes. As evil as it gets. AVE SATANI!"

Just so you know, "Ave Satani!" translates to "Hail Satan!"

So in essence, you are giving credence to this artist's statements by dismissing them as "a joke". Would or could you stand before Jesus Christ and say that you chose not to speak up and defend Him and His Church with regard to someone mocking not only Himself and His sacrifice for ALL souls upon the Cross (to the point of death), and that of the Church and the Papacy (founded when Jesus told St. Peter that "upon this Rock" He would entrust His Church ... St. Peter was and is, considered the first Pope).

If you agree to these, then once again, I think that you need to seek out a knowledgeable priest there in Osaka. Check with possibly a Carmelite or Franciscan based priest as they tend to adhere better to more lukewarm and liberal Diocesan priests.
